About Local 720

The International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers Local 720 represents ironworkers in northern Alberta. Local 720 began operations in 1948 and received its charter in 1949.

Local 720 belongs to the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Ironworkers, which represents 120,000 iron workers in Canada and the United States. 

Local 720 Training

Local 720 offers Pre-Apprentice Training for Ironworkers and a wide range of skills training courses and safety courses, including CWB Testing, OSSA Confined Space, and OSSA Fall Protection. Online courses include Overhead Crane Operator, Rigger Training, Construction Safety Training System (CSTS-09) Full Version and Upgrade, and numerous courses offered in partnership with BIS Training Solutions.
