About BTA Charitable Foundation
Building Trades of Alberta is made up of over 60,000 unionized skilled trades workers across Alberta who are members of 14 trade unions. Together, we make giving back to our communities a priority. Through the Building Trades of Alberta Charitable Foundation, we have contributed more than $7.6 million to more than 70 worthwhile organizations in our province!
Visit the Building Trades of Alberta Charitable Foundation to learn more about its outstanding work.
The Building Trades of Alberta Charitable Foundation is a great example of community partnership at work. Contractors and owners allow the Charitable Foundation to raise money on the job sites where our union members work. Our job stewards voluntarily sell raffle tickets to union members during their breaks. Ticket sales then support the Charitable Foundation’s work. The combined work of all these partners make the Charitable Foundation possible – just as they make successful construction projects possible.
The Building Trades Charitable Foundation also holds special fundraising events each year.

Our Community Space allows people to escape the cold, grab a coffee and snack, and make meaningful connections. The redevelopment of our space would not have been possible without generous donors like @BuildingTradeAB. THANK YOU for supporting community transformation and growth! pic.twitter.com/20CHJc7hIn
