BTA MEDIA RELEASE: Hundreds expected at Building Trades of Alberta Labour Day picnic tomorrow

EDMONTON – The Building Trades of Alberta will host its second annual Labour Day picnic at the Alberta legislature grounds tomorrow from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Media are invited to attend.

The picnic will feature free food from UNITE HERE Local 47, refreshments and activities for the entire family including balloon twisters, face painting, a gaming theatre, construction virtual reality, petting zoo, rock climbing and more.

Dogs With Wings Assistance Dog Society will also have service dogs in attendance, including BTA’s sponsor dog, Marlee.

Politicians, labour unions, workers and supporters are all expected to attend.

The Building Trades of Alberta represents 14 Alberta skilled trades unions with 60,000 members across the province.
