Post Category: BTA Blog

The Building Trades of Alberta would like to congratulate Mr. Searle Turton, MLA for Spruce Grove-Stony Plain, on his recent appointment as private-sector union labour liaison with the provincial government.

Mr. Turton is a construction tradesman and long-time member of BTA affiliate, Alberta Regional Council of Carpenters and Allied Workers Local 1325.

“Having a liaison who comes from organized construction, and who understands the important role unionized skilled building trades workers play in the health of both our economy and our communities, is welcomed.

“We look forward to a productive and respectful working relationship with Mr. Turton.”
