The Alberta economy is hurting and we have all felt the impact. It isn’t the best time for our Locals to be negotiating new agreements, however, we are obligated to do so.

Where are we at in the process? The framework or multi-table bargaining concluded in December 2018. Each individual Local is now negotiating the specific terms and conditions related to their individual Trade(s).
The Bargaining Committees have been working diligently to reach tentative agreements. The process isn’t easy for anyone – for the Bargaining
Committees and least of all for the members.
Negotiations are fluid and are always changing. Please do not listen to rumours or innuendo. Once the Bargaining Committees complete trade-specific bargaining they will be able to report to their members at which time members will have the proper information and opportunity to ask questions before ratification votes.
