BTA urges affiliates to participate in federal pre-budget consultations

This week, the federal government launched its pre-budget consultations to allow Canadians the opportunity to have their say when it comes to how Budget 2021 can best support them, their families and their communities.

The Building Trades of Alberta is encouraging members in all affiliate locals to participate in the consultations to ensure your voice is heard and your priorities are known.

You can fill out the questionnaire or upload a submission, here: https://letstalkbudget2021.ca/pre_budget_consultations?tool=survey_tool#tool_tab

Some things to keep in mind are infrastructure spending, investment in union training centres, tax benefits for union members employed in other jurisdictions, financial support for industries that put you to work and investment in construction projects and mega projects (from green to oil and gas).

With more than 60,000 members from 18 Alberta union locals across the province, our voice matters and has influence. Let’s use it.
