The BTA with Canada’s Building Trades Unions and Construction Labour Relations Alberta hosted an industry networking night with guests from Bird Construction and Concert Infrastructure. This event was a great opportunity to bring together labour with industry to show the capabilities of the Building Trades to our partners in Bird ahead of their construction of new schools in Alberta.

Our Executive Director hosted a great series of presentations. CBTU Executive Director Sean Strickland discussed the success of Building Trades and the importance of standing together in the face of tariffs. Ian Podmore from Concert Infrastructure, who discussed their important investments in Canadian infrastructure projects; and Rob McGrath, who delivered valuable the vital projects of Bird across Alberta and Canada.

The BTA thanks Bird Construction, Concert Infrastructure and all others who joined us for an evening of productive industry discussions. Together, we will continue to push our industry in the right direction by using the most highly skilled construction workforce to build our province’s infrastructure. These projects deserve to be completed on time, on budget and with the highest safety standards. That is what Building Trades members do best!
We look forward to hosting more collective dialogues with general contractors and key developers of Alberta’s buildings, roads, bridges and more. When you build it union, you build it right!
