National Indigenous Peoples Day – June 21
June 21 marks National Indigenous Peoples Day, and the Building Trades of Alberta would like to recognize and thank First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples from across the traditional lands Canada sits on, for the vital role Indigenous culture plays in shaping our communities.
We are especially proud of the many Indigenous BTA affiliate members from around Alberta, whose hard work, passion and dedication for the unionized skilled building trades strengthens our entire industry.
We are passionate about our work to further diversify the unionized building trades, including increasing out Indigenous membership. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about a rewarding career in union skilled trades, please visit our Path Forward initiative.
